… unique and innovative … I was moved to tears …
Katisha has performed in notable venues including the Quezon City Memorial Circle (Philippines), the Piteå Accusticum (Sweden) and the Royal Queensland Show Ekkanites Main Event (Australia). She has worked with various community organisations (including Youth With a Mission and the Norrbotten Youth Orchestra) that have resulted in collaborations with a choir in Latvia, performances in the market places, side streets and prisons of Uganda and gigs at cafes in Kenya and Bangkok’s inner city.
Katisha studied violin at Framnäs Folkhögskola in Sweden and was awarded the Sigurd Wargert Scholarship. She studied with sought after concert violinist Christian Svarfvar.
However, Katisha feels a strong connection to her home country and returned to Australia to complete her Bachelor of Music degree at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University.
Through partnering with community organisations such as The Stairwell Project and Anew Conferences, Katisha has shared her music with people in schools, retirement villages, hospitals, churches and private homes across Australia.
In 2018, Katisha released her debut EP “Kaleidoscope” and, shortly thereafter, completed a fifteen-town Queensland tour. Katisha continues to write, record and share her music with regional and rural communities across Australia.
